Christopher Feenan, 23, was a miserable 19 stone and struggled to squeeze his 44-inch waist into his jeans.
But when his mates invited him to join them on a lads break to Magaluf he vowed to ditch his bad habits and get beach body ready.
He shed eight stone before hitting the gym and packing on the muscle. Now Christopher is the envy of his friends with a powerful 15 stone muscular physique.
He managed to reduce his body fat from a staggering 54 per cent to just 13 per cent.
He now has a new career as a personal trainer and is engaged to the girl of his dreams Charlotte, a beautician.
Having turned his life around he now trains many of the bullies who called him names at school.
At 17 he weighed 19 stone and a size XXXL. He was stuck in a rut of no exercise, skipping breakfast and gorging on takeaways, crisps, chocolate and white bread.
But despite shedding the pounds and bulking up, Christopher from County Down, Northern Ireland eats substantially more now than he did at his heaviest.
The personal trainer exercises twice a day, six days a week and tackles a whopping 3900 calories a day.
But this has recently increased to 4,800 calories as Christopher is currently training for his first ever bodybuilding competition.
He’s come a long way from the unhappy schoolboy who suffered cruel jibes from classmates as a youngster.
As a personal trainer Christopher now feels it’s his duty to guide his clients through a healthy diet and exercise routine.
He encourages them to swap takeaways for high-protein meals, as he himself now maintains a diet of bowls of oats, egg-white omelettes, chicken, fish, peanut butter and rice cakes, which he purchases from Musclefood.com.
Christopher said: “When I look back at the pictures of me as a 17 year old, I can’t believe how different I look.
“As a teenager I was incredibly shy and introverted and had zero confidence around women.
“I would get called fat at school and I couldn’t even fit into high-street clothes. To make myself feel better I would comfort eat which only made my body worse.
“I had no knowledge of what my diet should consist of. I would skip breakfast, have fast food for lunch and would have four to five takeaways a week.
“But when my friends suggested a lad’s holiday to Magaluf I knew something had to change.
“I managed to shed eight stone, which was great. But after regular trips to the gym I then decided to bulk up. I adopted a stricter diet of high-protein meals and did more cardio and weight training.
“After college I became a personal trainer, which has been a great way for me to show others that anyone can achieve the body they’ve always wanted.
“I’m now training for my first ever bodybuilding competition. I have the body I always longed for as a teenager and my energy levels are great.
“I am now engaged to my beautiful fiancé Charlotte. I don’t think I would have had the confidence to even say two words to her without having the physique I have now. It has certainly helped me get my dream girl.
“My advice to anyone looking to lose weight is to not be afraid to get help. Seek advice or get a personal trainer, otherwise you’ll be left in the dark with no idea how to really lose the weight and build muscle.
“By exercising regularly, eating well and generally taking good care of your body, you can get into the shape you’ve always wanted.”
