Weight loss diet tricks: Scientific study reveals THIS is how to keep the weight OFF [bestandroiddoubledinheadunit950.blogspot.com]

A study has revealed the real-life weight loss tricks used by successful dieters.

The reported, titled ‘Weight control behaviours of highly successful weight loss maintainers’, researched the tricks people used to maintain their slimmer figures.

Carried out at the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, scientists asked 388 adults who lost weight to share how they did it.

The experts claimed, “adopting a different (…) set of behavioural strategies is key for achieving success”.

Participants in the study had lost on average 18 kg, or 2st 8lbs, which they had maintained for 28 months, just over two years.

So how did they lose the weight?

Scientists found that the “average dietary intake was 2199 kcal/day, with 33 per cent of energy coming from fat.”

Plus, 78 per cent of successful dieters engaged in levels of moderate and vigorous physical activity for more than 150 minutes a week, or just over two hours.

Those who were most successful in their weight loss also adopted various tactics to aid them.

The most popular for these were “keeping healthy foods at home, consuming vegetables regularly, and having daily breakfast”.

They also embraced walking, weighing themselves regularly, making sure to establish specific goals and cutting could portion size.

Reducing the amount of carbohydrates they ate and adding in more protein was also a favourite tactic among successful dieters.

Yesterday a nutritionist claimed that cutting out this one ingredient from your diet can help you lose weight.

Green tea has been said to help with weight loss for many years, but does the plant really help you slim? Express.co.uk investigated.

Green tea, originally from China, is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves.

Unlike other leaves used for black tea – green tea leaves have not withered, which is why they still have their lush green colour.
