Emma and her friend Kaye wanted to lose one stone in just two weeks, in time for when they head to the races.
The pair were given two very different crash diets by Dr Xand van Tulleken and Hala El-Shafie.
Emma was given the Baby Food diet whilst Kaye had the Omni diet – a protein based diet.
Dr Tulleken explained that the Baby Food diet is all about controlling portions.
He said the diet originally became popular in 2011, with Hollywood A-listers such as Jennifer Aniston going on the Baby Food diet.
The diet Emma is on involves eating 14 jars of baby food a day, plus one healthy meal in the evening.
This particular diet claims an individual can lose up to seven pounds in week.
Dr Tulleken said it is important to try a variety of flavours and to drink lots of water.
It is also vital that Emma does not overindulge in the evening meals.
Emma described the stench of the baby food as “awful” and could not eat past a couple of spoonfuls.
Instead she said she hunted out purees such as rice pudding and fruits purees like apple and pear.
“This has to be the most boring diet ever,” she added.
On day six of the diet Emma weighed herself and was disappointed to learn that she had not lost any weight.
However, she went on to admit that she caved at one point and ate beans on toast; but also noted that the fruit purees she has been eating contain a lot of sugar.
