How to Lose Weight Well: Shed the pounds by SNOOZING more on The Sleeping Beauty Diet [bestandroiddoubledinheadunit950.blogspot.com]

One man looking to lose weight fast for his university reunion looked for help from the show’s presenters, Dr Xand van Tulleken and dietician Hala El-Shafie. 

Rob had six weeks to undergo his weight loss transformation and, weighing just over 21 stone, the experts suggested he try shedding the pounds on The Sleeping Beauty Diet. 

The diet, which has been written about by Dr Michael Breus in his book ‘The Sleep Doctor’s Diet Plan’, requires participants to sleep between seven to nine hours per night and to eat foods that promote healthy sleep. 

The only things which should be cut out are drinking caffeine or alcohol near bedtime and exercising within four hours of sleeping. 

Rob, who used to enjoy four or five burgers a day and a two-litre bottle of fizzy drink, was sceptical over the idea of just sleeping more to lose weight. 

The idea behind the diet is that you can’t eat while sleeping, therefore you avoid too many calories and can limit yourself more. 

Much to Rob’s surprise, the diet seemed to work. 

Six weeks later, Rob placed himself on the scales, and found he was one stone and three pounds lighter. 

The hosts decided to put Rebecca on the Peanut Butter Diet – a regime involving three spoonfuls of peanut butter per day to stop cravings for sugary foods like chocolate. 

Rebecca was put on a restricted diet of 1,500 calories per day, sticking to small and healthy meals. 

She said: “The small portions will take a lot of getting used to.” 

Jade was put on a different regime called the Shangri-La Diet – an oil based diet.
