Christina, 34, vowed to lose weight when she was refused entry to a Disneyland ride in California because she was so large she couldn’t fit the seat belt around her.
The incident provided the wake up call the mother-of-three needed to kick start her fitness journey and transform into an incredibly toned blonde babe.
Now the mother inspires others online, creating video work outs and promoting a healthy diet on her Instagram account.
Her secret was eating meals with lean protein five to six times a day and focusing on being healthy – instead of looking good.
Christina, from Arizona, said: “It was truly a vicious cycle where I was imprisoned by food and by weight.
“Every comment, every snide remark broke my heart and my will to do anything about the weight.”
Christina was even considering surgery – despite her fear caused by the fact that heir father’s friend bled to death during exactly the same procedure.
She said: “I had enough of this weight telling me what I could do, what I could wear and how I was going to feel or live! I could not understand why this was happening!
“I’d done the diets, taken the the diet pills, worked out for hours a day with a personal trainer and nothing was working! I was ready to book my surgical appointment, when a friend stepped in and offered me encouragement in my darkest hour.”
Christina dropped 16 US dress sizes and now has 5,991 followers and is Mrs Arizona.
She wrote on her blog: “I will never forget the time my own grandmother walked by me at a family wedding because she did not recognize the much slimmer and healthier granddaughter that stood before her. [sic]
“My life dramatically changed for the better when I overcame this one mountain in my life.”
Actress Jenna Coleman, the star of Victoria, has transformed from buxom babe to a slender superstar during her time in the spotlight.
The English actress, who played Clara Oswald in Doctor Who, has certainly has lost a few pounds since her Emmerdale days.
Her change in figure may be down to a clean diet, according to Matt Fiddes, personal trainer to celebrities and former bodyguard to the legendary Michael Jackson.
“She looks like she has been working out as she is toned and possibly on a sensible clean diet,” Matt told Express.co.uk exclusively.
Petite women, like Jenna, find it much harder to lose weight, he explained.
“As women age they find it harder to lose weight due to hormonal changes in the body. And it’s even harder for smaller women to stay in shape as they don’t need so many calories.”
