Nigella Lawson is the British chef known for her indulgent recipes and double entendres.

However, she has lost an impressive amount of weight in recent times.

How has the food writer managed to shed the pounds?

The beautiful brunette is often flaunting her new figure on her Instagram account. How did Nigella Lawson lose weight? 

However, the daughter of a politician reveal she has never tried a diet.

In fact, she told a UK newspaper that she lost weight by accident, and was not trying to slim down.

Talking to The Telegraph, Nigella revealed that she never initially intended to lose the weight.

Nigella had bunions removed, which led to her body make-over.

She told the paper: “I had a very glamorous operation – a double bunionisation. I couldn’t walk to the fridge afterwards and, actually, it’s quite a good diet.

“Not because I stopped eating but because you can say to someone, ‘Can you get me a slice of cake?’ but it’s kind of embarrassing to say, ‘And now could you get me a second slice?

“It’s certainly true my weight went up [in recent years] – that happens in life sometimes.”

However, the chef revealed she would not follow a strict diet.

“I wouldn’t want a life where I lived on chia seed pudding, just as I wouldn’t want to live where I lived on eggs Benedict or steak and chips.”

Tonight is the first episode of Nigella: At My Table on BBC Two at 7:30pm.

The chef is sharing the food she likes to make at home.

Tonight she tackles Turkish-inspired eggs and a sweet treat named Queen of Puddings.

She will also revealed her brownie recipes and craft a chicken and pea tray-bake.

Jamie Oliver’s weight loss impressed many recently after the chef lost two stone. 

The so-called “Naked Chef” revealed on This Morning how he managed to lose two stone or 12 kilos.

He told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on the ITV programme eating less meat helped him shed the pounds.

He also ate more vegetables and exercised more.

“I lost 12 kilos quite quickly and I didn’t do it through not eating,” the chef said.
